Donghuamen Site Park, located in the Qingyang District of Chengdu, is a park that blends historical culture with modern landscapes.
The park preserves over 2,300 years of historical remnants, including the Ming Dynasty Shu Palace water channel, Tang Dynasty brick roads, and Song Dynasty cobblestone paths. The Ming Dynasty water channel is well-preserved and displayed in its original state outdoors for visitors to observe closely.
The park is designed to protect and showcase these precious historical relics while providing a beautiful recreational space for visitors. Lush greenery and pleasant surroundings create a picturesque scene in the heart of the modern city.
Since the discovery of these historical remnants in 2013, archaeological and restoration work has been carried out, and Donghuamen Site Park was officially opened in 2023. It has become an important place for citizens and tourists to learn about Chengdu’s long history.
